The Heroes Development Programme (HDP)

Formerly known as the Youth Development Programme (YDP), HDP is an original initiative of the
Heroes Foundation designed to unlock the heroic and creative potential of Caribbean children and youth,
preparing them to lead in the 21st century.

Updated in 2021 with support from UNICEF Eastern Caribbean, HDP focuses on psychosocial growth,
21st-century skills, sustainability, equality, and non-violence. It’s delivered in both English and Spanish over
a three-year journey, blending digital and in-person sessions via the Heroes Connect platform.

The programme uses creative, inclusive, and play-based learning to reach participants with diverse learning styles.
Young people dive into self-awareness, interpersonal growth, and global citizenship—while driving real change through
youth-led projects in schools and communities.
